COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS Scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, are offered each year for members and their children.  Call the Member Benefits Hotline for moreinformation. The deadline to submit an application is March 1st.	LEGAL Free initial legal consultation with an attorney in person or on the phone for up to 30 minutes.  No enrollment charge or annual fee is required.  Members are also eligible for discounted rates on most legal services.
AUTO  10% off auto insurance by attending a one-day defensive driving course offered once a month by a certified instructor at your local union hall.  (Minimum of 10 members required in order to hold a class.)  Fred Loya Insurance waives its initial down payment requirement of approximately $200.  (Special agent assignt to Texas, FLI offices do not offer this discount.)  Goodyear Tires offers a 5% discount on tires, 10% off on service (on top of any sale price), and an $18.95 Oil, Lube, and Filter Service package.  Coupon is available at the HOPE office.	ENTERTAINMENT  Houston Rockets Tickets can be purchased at a discounted price for different seating levels.  Tickets are available for purchase in advance (orders are placed a week prior to the game).  A schedule of discounted games is available at the HOPE office.  Houston Astros Tickets are available at half price for all seating levels--select games only.  Call the benefits coordinator for dates and times.  Fiesta Texas and Sea World Passes are available at a discount throughout the season.  Movie Tickets are offered at 21% off the regular ticket price.  Tickets are accepted anytime at theaters and do not expire.  Tickets can be purchased at the reception area at the HOPE office.
MEDICAL Free and/or discounted drugs are available based on member's family size and income.  Four hundred drug companies provide free and/or discounted drugs to HOPE members.  This benefit is most appropriate for members treating chronic diseases such as diabetes and asthma.	NOTARY Free Notary Public Services for any HOPE member are available at your local union hall.  Please call the Benefits Hotline to set up an appointment.
FINANCIAL  Debit cards that can be used for direct deposit of payroll checks are available for free.  These cards can be used at ATMs and any merchant that accepts credit cards.  This is not a credit card and does not require a credit check or bank account.  HOPE Files Free is an online tax filing service available to HOPE members whose annual household income is less than $52,000.  File your taxes at no cost and worry free.  Contact the Member Benefits Hotline to set up an appointment.
