Supporting Families
While the cost of living keeps going up, the real wages of many working families are going down, resulting in tough choices and tighter family budgets. Many of us now work two jobs, sacrificing time with our families just to pay the bills, and 1 in every 4 Houston children now live in poverty.
At HOPE, we believe it’s time to do something about it.
We believe the city has a responsibility to lead and to become a positive example for other Houston employers. Together, we’re working to ensure that employees should have a real say in their wages, a clear path for advancement and the ability to create flexible scheduling arrangements that help moms and dads raise productive and healthy children.
